Render node install problem
« on: May 29, 2024, 02:00:28 pm »
I have installed FP9 on my render nodes with the "render node" install option and when I try to use distributed rendering (vray) I get a message saying "Forest Pack is configured to use a local license....."
Once the message comes up I can click OK then it syas cannot load a license (error code 2) so I click OK and then it starts loading and rendering the scene.
This scene has Forest system and Forest Ivy.
When I try to use distributed rendering on a scene with only a Forest sytem in it there are no issues with Forest Pack looking for a local license so the DR just works as expected.
So it looks like the Forest Ivy plugin is looking for a license even though it is installed as a "render Node"

Let me know if you need any more information

Thanks Michal.
The issue seems to be with Forest Ivy and I am not doing anything "interactively" Just rendering.
If I delete the ivy from my scene there are no license issues with FP and DR works as expected.

I can confirm this is a bug. We'll fix it for next beta update.
