First of all, thanks for the vray 5 beta support!

I have just updated my max from 2021 to 2021.1 (using vray 5 beta 2), and the instancing is gone, taking about 70gb ram to render a basic grass setup.
Is there any chance you could update the vray5beta2 support file for max 2021.1?

Thanks again!

Hi
There seems to be some issues with Max 2021.1 update. It seems to be removed as of now from being downloaded.
We will check the issue after autodesk releases the update again.

Hi Rokas, thanks for the reply.

I can confirm the update is somewhat buggy, the installer itself is messing something up while updating from 2021 to 2021.1, though I cannot speak for the standalone installer itself.
The update was a bit difficult to find, it was only listed in the autodesk desktop app, no notification arrived about it, one had to look for it specifically.
I ran into the same problem as the people in the autodesk forum did, however removing the "ENU" folder and letting max reset the whole UI with a full reinstall of all the plugins solved the problem.

Anyway, thanks for having a look, could you please bump this thread when iToo has an update for 2021.1 + vray5beta2?
Thanks in advance.

Hi, we can confirm that 2021.1 works fine with the current beta patch.
I used the latest nightly build of V-Ray 5 (5.00.03), because according to the ChaosGroup forum, there are important fixes. Anyway, it should work also with v5.00.02.

Please, check your installation. Probably the 2021.1 update messed something.

Thanks for the update, it does work with vray 5 beta, and as it turns out it works with the newly released vray 5 too.
