Vray Beta & FP 6
« on: March 05, 2018, 11:35:19 AM »
Hi

I am attempting  to use the Beta of both Vray and FP6.

The distribution along a path has me baffled........?
The Libraries are not loading ?
Can anybody help me out.

Deadline as usual.
I will have to roll back otherwise.

Thank you

Phil

Hi, please gives us more details about each problem. Also what V-Ray version are you using (beta 1 or beta 2).

Take in account that betas are not intended to be used in production.

Thanks,

(i moved this to the beta forum).

Thank you for the reply.
Beta 2
And the basic problem is, the libraries aren't there when I go in to use them.
And the Tree editor which had now been changed I can't get it to work even in a new base max test line and box spread along a line at 6m  for example.

Where is the beta forum.?

- Beta 2 is not supported yet. We have plans to release an update in the next days.

- Now the libraries are not included with the setup program, but downloaded by the Update Manager (a standalone application).
It should be launched automatically on the installation. If not, please run it manually from Windows start menu->Itoo Software->Forest Pack->Update Manager.

You will need your login credentials (the same included witht the license for the User Panel).
If for some reason the application doesn't work correctly, or the libraries are not visible after downloading them, please tell us.

- The Creation Tools included in Custom Edit mode (as the path tool) have been replaced for new Distribution modes, which work dinamically.
Just open the Distribution rollout, and select "Path" in the "Mode" selector, as shown in the attached image.

- The beta forum is a subforum within "Forest Pro". I moved this thread to it.

Thank you
I worked out the Path, it's much better.

I have followed the instruction, but still not to any avail.
I will have to wait for the update or roll back.

Thank you for the update.

Hi,

For Layered Lawns presets, maps are stored in the following folder:

C:\Users\<yourUsername>\AppData\Local\Itoo Software\Forest Pack Pro\lib\Presets\Layered_Lawns\maps

Hope that helps.

Best regards,
