forest pack pro problems

I would really appreciate if someone would know is there anykind of answer to this. So whenever 3DS Max crashes (which is very often) almost everytime the Forest Pack Pro forests lose their configuration. So the "Forest" object is just a Mesh, and everything has to be redone. And how it can be possible, that upon crash the configuration is lost on the main project file, including 10 backup files? Thank you.
