hdplants1 import wrong color variation
« on: November 05, 2016, 11:25:19 AM »
Hello,
I acquired the 3Dmentor library via Itoo (yesterday) hdplants1 in this library there are trees that have color variations but hen I import a tree with FP is always the same color it does not take into account the different "matlib" that are in the original max stage.
Have you had this same problem?

idem, how to display the Latin name and not the English name of the plant.
I think there is a problem in the Index.xml file.

hdplants1 why not in the FP catalog.
I used the facility provided by 3Dmentor attached

thank you

Hi,

I've run some tests here on a random selection of models from HDPlants 1 and V-Ray's / Corona's materials seem to be working fine - there are color variations, though I've noticed, these not always correspond to thumbnails. Honestly, because of huge amount of third party models avaible, we are unable to double check all these models / materials one by one.

For latest "HD Series" collections, the Forest Pack integration is done exclusively by its developer - 3d mentor. Please feel free to report it to 3d mentor as I'm afraid we can't do much more for you (we can't modify any bundled content). Thanks for your comprehension.

In Library Browser's tool-bar, there's is a Change displayed language button (by default set to English), which can be switched to Latin.

Hello,
After some research, when I select my tree I checked in the properties, the material is normally good, May import it does not take into account.
By cons, if I go change I reselected my tree and I Reimporte the right materials is ok.
I think the problem comes from FP to import it does not take the option of materials.

Hi,

As I can see, not all items have unique names, which might cause problems when assigning materials to these "multiple variations of a same item". Please feel free to unpack the attached file and replace your local copy of the index.xml file. That should fix it.

Hello,
Thank you for the answer.
for it to work I had to rename the file because the materials delivered files is called xxxxmaterials Vray.mat, xxxmaterials Corona.mat, xxxmaterials Mental.mat and in the xml file name is xxxmaterials.mat indiscriminately rendering engine.

Best regards,
Olivier
