HQ Plants Viola's don't work for me (after installing FPP 4)
« on: February 22, 2013, 08:29:10 PM »
I've checked the paths in the "External File" section of Customisation and the paths are correct.

I have Trees 3 and Flowers 2 and all of these items work fine EXCEPT for Viola !!

And it just so happens that these are the plants I want tin use in my Flower Box.....

 :(

In the original files of 3D Mentor, there was a mistake in the Max file for the Viola mode: HD_Vilola_01.max instead HD_Viola_01.max, so we wrote our catalog to use exactly this name.

Please, would you check what is the file name in your copy of HD Flowers 2 ?

Anyway, you also can use the models manually (without the catalog). Just merge the model in the scene, and assign to to Geometry->Custom Object.

I'll fix it in the next update. Thank you for feedback.

What is in my copy is

HD_Vilola_01.max

But if I change it to HD_Viola_01.max, it still doesn't work.

Anyway, as you say, merge in ans assign to Geometry.

The Viola models seems to work fine here, using the catalog, both for VRay and Mental Ray.

What error did you get exactly ? and what render engine do you use ?
