New Tutorial: RailClone Xmas Tree II
« on: December 21, 2016, 12:23:27 PM »

Introducing RailClone Xmas Tree II - Understanding Incremental Rotation and Scale, our new Christmas Tips & Tricks episode. It is becoming something of tradition at iToo at this time of year to create a tutorial that uses RailClone to build a Christmas tree. As most people know, RailClone isn't a botanical modeller, so we have to use our imagination. Last year we created trees made of pipes that looked like they'd escaped from some sci-fi dystopia. This year we're keeping it classy with trees inspired by the minimalist designs of Johannes Molin.

The techniques demonstrated are extremely useful for learning how to use expressions to make incremental changes to rotation, scale or other parameters; as well as how to make objects easy to edit from the Modify panel. This is ideal for sharing RailClone styles with other users, or for studios where you may have a RailClone champion who produces styles for members of the team.

This will be our final tutorial release for 2016, so we'd like to take the opportunity to say a warm thank you for watching our tutorials and using our plugins. We wish you a very happy holiday and a fantastic new year. Stay tuned for more episodes and new case studies in 2017!
