Wooden broadwalk in wetland
« on: March 01, 2017, 11:31:36 AM »
hi all!

I would like to learn how to build a wooden broadwalk with railclone lite. I want my broadwalk to have different width. Let me illustrate it with some images and referances. Thank you all in advance!!

Hi,

A recommendable way would be to create and use a "centre" spline as the X Spline together with a closed spline made from "border" splines as a Clipping area. There are many ways how to further randomize the style - like for example by driving the X Fixed Size by a Random Parameter generated on Segment.

Best regards,

Hi,

You're welcome. The Material Operator is designed for these purposes (it uses a designated Material ID from the input segment and replaces it with a new value identified in the From / To range). Just take in mind, that this operator is only fully compatible with V-Ray. To use with other renderers it is necessary to disable Display > Use Instancing Engine.

Best regards,
