clone.dlm failed to initialize
« on: October 21, 2008, 12:07:25 AM »
Hi all,

since a few days we have a lot of clients where 3dsMax (64bit) is not starting anymore.
Every time I try so start, the error message appears: Clone.dlm failed to initialize. Error code: 14001.
I have tried to re-install the vcredist_x64 (2005 and 2008) nothing seems to work.
The 32bit Version is running without problems. Does someone else has the same behavior?
Could a strange Microsoft Patch be the problem?
I also have tried it on a new machine (XP64 incl. all patches) and there it is also not working......

It would be great if someone could give me a hint :-))

Regards,
Stefan

Hi,

We are trying to reproduce this issue, probably a recent MS update have modified the libraries that we use in the plugin.

I will post here as soon we have a fix.

Hi,

In all tests we have done in XP64, Clone runs without problems.  :-\

What version of 3DS are you using ? Have you updated Windows with the latest updates ?
