3ds Max 2009 64 bit & ColorEdge
« on: May 28, 2009, 12:18:45 AM »
Hi Guys,

I've installed the correct version of the ColorEdge plugin to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Autodesk\3ds Max 2009\plugins\" but cannot work out how to use it. From what I've read on here I select the material editor, click on 'get material' and ColorEdge should appear in the list. For me it doesn't appear :(

Can anyone point me in the right direction please...?

Regards

FWIW I have the same problem using 3ds Max 8 at work... I've installed the correct version of the plugin but still nothing appears in the material browser.

What am I doing wrong...?

Hi,

What renderer are you using ?

ColorEdge is not compatible with Mental Ray, so material browser hides it from list, except if "Incompatible" checkbox is enabled.

Thanks, that worked although when I checked "incompatible" last night  I'm certain it wasn't there... anyway, it's working now :)
