Color Edge is not supported by Mental Ray!

Hi,
I tested the Color Edge on Mental Ray. Is not supported!
Error message: MGS 0.0 error : Color Edge is not supported by Mental Ray and will not render!
Please help! :( :( :(

Sorry, but ColorEdge is not compatible with Mental Ray. Although is included with 3DS, really Mental Ray is very different from the standard scanline renderer, and uses its own material plugins (shaders).

Only recently stumbled on your free coloredge product - and its SO handy! Any plans to release it for MR? You'd be doing many of us a HUGE favour! And Id be happy to pay for it!

The big problem to release it, is that MR considers all edges as visible... the 'edge visibility' values are stripped from scene when is exported to MR, but we need this information for ColorEdge.  :-\

We have plans to release a new version of the plugin (possibly after completing Forest 3.2), but i don't know if we will found some fix for this issue.

Thats a real shame. Us MR uses are pretty much stuck with creating out own edge maps with bitmaps :(
