Title: Array on curved surface
Post by: luca.d on July 22, 2015, 12:40:08 PM
Hello guys,

I need some help from you, as couldn t find anything similar on youtube/google.

I need to do a quite simple array on a curved surface of a single geometry.
As you can see in the attachement i need to scatter that pipe along the surface, using a bitmap map to control the height of the pipe (lenght).

Do you guys know if is possible to do?

Thanks!

Hi,

At the moment RailClone does not allow you to use a bitmap to drive parameters. You may find though that you can use Forest Pack to do this:

Though you would need the Pro version as the lite edition does not allow you to use undulating surfaces. For a full list of the differences between the two versions please see the Difference between Lite and Pro page in our online reference guide (http://docs.itoosoft.com/display/FORESTPACK/Lite+and+Pro).

I hope that helps, please let me know if I can assist further.

Kind regards,

Paul
