Hi,

Most of the work in metal framework for this bridge is achieved in the modelling, the trick is to make a good tileable mesh - in this case it looks like this:

This is then simply wired into an L1S generator and the pivot alignment adjust to align the top of the metal structure with the bottom of the road.

Hope that helps,

Many thanks,

Paul

Hi,

That looks like a very interesting scene to model :)

In this case I would probably use separate splines for the arched beam and the road. It'll be much easier that way. You should find that the railing segment will deform automatically along the curved spline but in order to keep the uprights vertical you will want to turn on Segment>Properties>Deform>Vertical. I've attached a screenshot to help illustrate. In this example I've also appended the support cables and used a second enclosed spline as a clipping path to cut them off where they would meet the road.

Thanks,

Paul

Hi,

We prefer to keep all the support on the forums where possible so that other users may benefit. In this example you would need to use RailClone Pro as the lite version only supports the use of flat splines.

Many thanks,

Paul

The bridge in the gallery was created with RailClone 1.x so it is possible. If you have the Pro version, please post these questions in the RailClone Pro forum. To get access, you can use the login credentials included with your license.

Thanks.

I'm sorry but we don't provide support for generic Max issues, and certaintly not in the Lite forum, when this scene requires a licensed version of RailClone.

ok sorry 4 disturbing you. i was just want to make a scene that featured rail clone. but don't help me that's really really hurt me.  :'( . any way i will ask other artists who are familiar with rail clone. i just wan't to improve my 3d skills . making splines is not a big issue i will resolve it. and showed it to you my final render of my project. you are just thinking about pro user and lite user but about problem. you should support people you want to get in 3d industry. specially beginners,

sorry if u heart with my comment.  :(

As you can see from our previous replies, we try to provide our best support both to Lite and Pro users.

But unfortunately the time dedicated to support is expensive, and our human resources are limited. As general rule, we don't reply to generic Max questions that can be solved by more proper ways.
In any case, RailClone Pro users have extended and personalized support, this is the reason we redirect you to such forum.

Thanks for your understanding.

Please, see our previous posts. As we said, this type of object cannot be built with the Lite version.
