RC Filelister crashing Max
« on: November 14, 2018, 04:43:35 PM »
i experience problems with rc filelister in my scene. any time i try to enable select all or disable select all max crashes. is it possible that my naming is causing this error? remember something like that in the past.

3ds max 2019 latest ... vray 4 next latest

i have no problem with activating or deactivating all RC objects in explorer ... that works fast and reliable ... but RC filelister kills max

Hi Yes this is a known problem but still thank You for reporting it.
This should be already fixed in next version.

NOTE: This crash is caused due to Duplicated names between RailClone objects. Lister finds 22 unique name objects, while there are 23 of them in the scene.
You can solve this by renaming duplicated RC object to unique name.

Hopefully this helps You while we release the fix.

Hi Rokas,

ok you have been faster  :)

... just wanted to write here that i found  the 2 RC Objects with same name in the explorer and renaming one solved the problem. Now the lister works fine again.

Would be great if some kind of warning could be implemented ... like: attention name conflict ... or whatever

The lister is such a time saver !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
