Render problems Railclone
« on: June 08, 2015, 12:33:30 PM »
Hi there,

I'm having an problem with rendering a railclone object.
The scene is rendered with vraysun en physical vray cam.
but there is a strange moire effect / shadow on the geometry.

Does anyone have an idea what it might bee or got the answer to this problem.
Ill incl a max scene so you can test is for you're self.

Tanks..

Gr Peter

Hi Peter,

I don't think this is a RailClone problem because if you convert the RC object to instances using RailClone tools or convert it to an editable poly the issue still persists.

Try reducing the V-Ray Sun's Shadow Bias value to 0.01, this seems to remove the moire pattern. I suspect it's something to do with the scale of the scene but I'm not sure.

Many thanks,

Paul
