Title: 2S Array | perpendicular to X Spline
Post by: vtrdo on September 12, 2019, 02:23:34 PM
Hello there,

again with newbie question, is there a chance to make a boardwalk wooden floor perpendicular to X spline yet still random in planks length. ( basically perpendicular to what I´m capable to do now )

The shape of the surface is not simple in a plan ...

many thanks

Viktor

Hi Viktor,

When using the Clipping Area > Extend X/Y Size to Area, adjusting the Z Rotation parameter to 90º should do the trick. In case of any further troubles with it, please feel free to send us (http://forum.itoosoft.com/index.php?topic=3648.0) your scene. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Hi Viktor,

Thanks for the provided scene. It can be archived by using a "nested style" - in a very similar way like in this tightly related post (https://forum.itoosoft.com/railclone-pro-(*)/curved-wood-cladding-or-free-form-facade/msg23089/#msg23089). I've sent you a modified scene by email. I hope you'll find it useful.

Best regards,
