corrugated sheet metal
« on: January 14, 2020, 06:58:54 PM »
Hello,

I am trying to create the attached image as a railclone object. (cs.jpg)
I basically need 2 different versions. The first, a simple panel, I managed to do myself. (red object in screenshot)
The second version, where the pattern is following the spline, especially the corner section (like in the picture) I have some trouble with.
I managed to put something together (top blue object in the screenshot) but it only works if the spline has the right size. When I change it, it falls apart.
Whats the best way to achieve this?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Please, can you downgrade Max file to 2018?

Hi, sorry for the delay. I had some deadline  :(

Here is one possible solution. The generator is driven by Single Spline and Z Height Parameter.
This is just a quick setup and needs some tweaking to set up everything to match.  ;)
If your workflow dictates a Closed Spline solution or any other  I can rearrange initial RC for you,

Best Regards
