Hopefully a quick answer.
It's been a while so maybe there's a way of doing this now. Couldn't see anything in the forums about it.

Want to align an 1S array based on the spline rather than Generator

Hm, not sure I undertand. Can you please elaborate more or share a Max scene?

Hi Dragan, thanks for looking at this and sorry I wasn't very clear.

Attached the file but I'm after a way of offsetting an 1S Generator using the local spline coordinates like you can for a 2S by checking the 'Auto Align to spline'.

Let me know if that makes more sense.

Please downgrade the Max file to 2018 (and make that as default when you posting to the forum so more people can open the file)

If you want to "fit" segments into a rectangle border as A2S you can`t because L1S is basically `follow the path` array so RC does not see this spline as closed when using L1S.
In this particular case, you can select Transform node and set Alignment for Y to Bottom.

Thanks for the prompt reply Dragan.

No sorry, I don't think I'm explaining it very well.

basically want both the 2S and 1S versions to be identical and offset to the local spline Z not the Generator Z.
Just wasn't sure if there was a cheat somehow?
Does this help?

I got you now  :D
Orientation of the RC icon should be on XY plane.
After that just reverse subspline.
