Adding mullions in windows
« on: September 12, 2018, 08:06:23 PM »
Hey !
I made parametric windows according to the tutorial on the site and I would like to add one thing that would make my job easier. The point is that mullions would appear in the vertex position, for example in the Bezier curve. I could then manipulate the position and amount of such mullions, unfortunately I have no idea how to do it. Can I count on your help?

Thank you very much for your answer. I attach the file and explain what is going on. I added a conditional module and a sub-selector for it with mullions. A conditional module has a condition such that when a vertex appears, a muntin should appear, but it does not appear.

I would like to gain the possibility of controlling the number of mullions in the window as well as their number thanks to vertexes.

Hi

Thanks for file. I see You are using clipping spline. There is no reason to use clipping spline in RailClone for rectangular windows.
You lose features and add complexity.

I suggest using two splines X and Y, or even better, just X and use numeric parameter for Y.
Then You will be able to plug X Corner input for Your vertical mullions.

Feel free to follow these threads about windows for more inspiration here, here and here

Thank you Rokas for help, unfortunately your change in my case is unfavorable because the closed lines at the same time are cliping the walls and put in the windows. I need differentiation because in one building there may be windows with different muntins, so I wanted to control them through vertexes.

I would like to create diverse windows on the whole façade using one RC.

Unfortunately that is not currently possible. Thanks for suggestion though.
