Advanced Facade style
« on: April 08, 2020, 05:55:57 PM »
Hey Guys,

I would like to create an advanced building facade style for more than 100 buildings. I used just clipping areas (extend X/Y Size to Area) baselines for the facades.
Attached a screenshot, how is it looks. I want to change just the windows there, where they are cutted by the clipping area. Is there any solution for that? I tried to use a selector with an expression to measure the Y length and set the index, but it measures to the whole spline, so it changes all the segments even when the windows are fitting into the clipping area.

I've attached the max file as well.

Thank you

That is how clipping splines work in RC. RailClone extracts virtual X and Y as rectangle bounding box and works with with those splines:

So there is no access via expressions.

Maybe You can cheat with two generators two facades:

One offseted to be on top of base facade. Not ideal, I know but the best I can think ok. (If I understood what You are after)
