Title: animation of a cladding that is disassemble from top to the bottom
Post by: Pierre on April 30, 2019, 03:06:30 PM
Hello,
I created a simple vertical cladding wall with an array 2S in tile mode. I would like to animate the disassembly piece by piece of this cladding. I know how to do it uniformly , but I can't figure how to randomise the removal.  I tryed with a railclone into a railclone but it didn't work.
can you explain me how to achieve this ?
Best
Pierre

Not sure about the effect You are after. Maybe a clipping spline could help to toggle panel visibility. If more advanced effect is needed then You can always collapse RC object and animate them as You would any other Geometry object.

Thank you rokas for your answer.
Sorry for my english, it does not help to clearly explain what I want :) I attached a video I just made with an edit poly. I hope it will be more understandable
I can't collapse the rc object because it will take me too much time to animate the poly by hand.

Ok, You can do something like that in RailClone.

Hello Rokas,
thank you very much , it's perfect.
I don't understand something :
The clipping area is a spline but it works like a volume. The elements that are not in the same plane are still deleted, what is the parameter that explains that?
Thank's again

Clipping spline works as a projection to a axis plane, You can choose between X Y Z:
