Hello,

I've looked over the forums for a related post but couldn't find any results. I have used This post and the tutorial for other projects in the past and it had worked well. It was a nice work around before cap holes was introduced (thank you for that by the way).

Now I am working on a project that is mostly all brick on the outside with many windows at different heights (fig 01). Ideally I would like to just make a clipping mask for all the facades apply the railclone macro and be done. Unfortunately I can't find a method there I can use clipping masks and get the nice brick corners demonstrated in the other post. I can use clipping and either project x (fig 03) or y (fig 04), if I expand to use clipping area I lose my nice corners (fig 02). There has to be a better way than creating a ton of different horizontal splines for each different window level. Also widening the clipping area at the corners gives poor results.

Should I just do the expand clipping area method and then make a second set of bricks for hte corners? Like we do for the roof hips?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Examples of widening the clipping area past the corner like I mentioned.

Hi

I am sorry but we have no better solution than multiple horizontal splines.
As an alternative workaround You might be interested in Render Time Booleans.
