wood fence mapping
« on: July 26, 2016, 11:40:37 PM »
I hacked the "Wooden Posts with Barbed Wire" preset and got it to a point that I'm happy with. The only problem is that the mapping on the horizontal wood pieces differs on the inside and outside.

  • tried adding a uvw map to the base mesh and that didn't work
  • rotated the mapping in the segment and that just flipped the issue

Hi,

I would suggest you to double check the UV mapping of used Segment(s). If that's correct, please check if you're using the Properties - Mapping - Apply Box Mapping feature, which might override it. Optionally, you can rotate UV Coordinates of used Bitmap map as on attached screen-shot.

Hope that helps.

Best regards,

those techniques did not work but after I dug around a while I found that the faces on the geometry (fence board) had different material ID's! problem solved...thanks for your reply
