Hi,
Is it possible, using the attached example, to make the red part larger than the base with the same overflow value for all sides?
-
Hi,
Thanks for getting in touch. This seems like a good use for the Spline Offset node introduced in RailClone 7. Using that you can create a second generator for the roof and control the amount of overhang by wiring the same spline through the Spline Offset node. Please see the attached sample file for and example of how it can be done.
I hope that helps,
Paul

Thank you very much.
Sorry for my late reply, I was on vacation.

Hi,
Is it (or would it be) possible to retrieve the result of the SplineOffset operator as a 3DS Max Spline object?
I can only “see” this Spline with the “Draw Splines” option.

Hi all,
so, is it possible or not?
-
Hi,
No. It's not possible.
Splines are generated internally to the RC object, and cannot be exposed in Max.
