Material Node help
« on: February 15, 2017, 11:45:03 PM »
I'm making some Railclone Bollards with as much functionality as possible via exported parameters.

This is the first time that I'v tried to use a material node. From what I understand, you can cycle through a multi/sub object material using the corresponding ID's in that material. Based off the tutorials, I think I have this set up correctly, doesn't seem that complicated, but not getting the results that I'm after. I exported the Mat ID parameter and when cycling, it doesn't switch as intended.

I've attached a few screenshots to show my setup. Any help is much appreciated!

Hi,

The Material Operator uses a designated Material ID (in your case driven by the "Material ID" Numeric Parameter) from the input Segment and replaces it with a new value identified in the From/To range. Therefore, I would suggest you to double check Material IDs of used object (it should be corresponding to value(s) you're entering in the "Material ID" Numeric Parameter) as these will be overridden by the Material Operator.

Please feel free to send us your scene to check it here. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
