Title: Bill of Materials or cut lists functionality ?

Hi, i know railclone is not intended for actual CAD, but isn't there a way somehow to get Bill of Materials (BOM) or cust lists out of Railclone objects?
It already can count instances of objects, surely there is a way to measure lengths of objects too? Anyone else maybe created a macro for these kind of things?

Hi,

This feature was requested by other users as well. We'll think on that for next updates.

Anyway, there are cases which we don't know how to handle.
For example, a segment may sliced, scaled, bended or deformed in multiple ways. How to count it ? Even a instanced segment can be scaled, resulting on different pieces.
Probably a simple approach, as counting how many times a segment is used, is not enough for most of cases.

If that helps, in latest RC6 beta we have introduced an exporting tool to XML.
Not exactly a BOM, but perhaps XML could be processed to get a list of segments and their dimensions.
