Title: Brick pattern for facade cladding
Post by: ShaneMcG on November 13, 2024, 07:02:09 pm
Hey there,

I want to create a facade cladding made out of tilted, slightly overlapping large wooden panels (200x40cm), that have a classic "brick pattern" to them. With the cladding macro I either get a straight or a totally random pattern of the cladding panels. Is there a way to achieve the brick pattern for the panels with the cladding macro?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

You can easily adapt the Cladding macro to use the Conditional Operator (https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone/style-editor/operators/conditional) to select a 'half' segment as the first segment on each odd row, creating the desired pattern. Please see the attached sample scene (241114_RunningBondCladding_ITOOSOFT.max).

I hope that helps.

Best regards,
