Brick wall with spaces

Hi!
I'm trying to create a brick wall like the one in the attached picture.
My idea is to make an Array 1D and have it follow a spline with the height of the wall as a parameter.
I have a deformed (with noise modifier) box, and 10 different jpg maps that I will apply randomly by element.
I can easily create a single line of bricks and spaces, but I'm having trouble building it up.

to build up, you need 2s array  and it should be placed in "Front" or "Left" viewport, not TOP.

Just to add, you might find this post on brick walls handy. It includes an advanced style that is able to handle corners and a few other things. A download is available in the post, and a macro made from style is included in RC3 beta.
