Title: Bug in generators with multiple splines with combine and XMarkerData ?
Post by: Nasau on July 08, 2025, 02:01:10 pm
Hi, I have detected that if you connect several splines to a generator to generate it and try to use the MarkerData to modify parts of it, it stops reading these values.
I attach the test scene and some screenshots for you to understand what I mean.
Gen1 :
1 Spline only to generate and responds to MarkerData
GenMulty:
2 Spline with a combine to generate and no longer responds to Marker Data

I think this shouldn't be like this because it limits a lot to use several splines to generate the same (and having several unused generators for when there are several splines is unnecessary but if it's the only option, please tell me to adapt my RC to this behaviour).

Best regards and thanks.

Hi,

As mentioned in this tightly related thread (https://forum.itoosoft.com/railclone-pro-(*)/splineop-dont-respect-rc-spline-mod/): "I'm afraid this is currently a known limitation - the Spline Operator rebuilds the spline from scratch, which results in any related data being lost. That said, we haven’t ruled out addressing this in future versions, provided a technically viable method can be implemented. Thank you for your understanding."

Best regards,

No problem at all. We’ll look into what can be done.

Best regards,
