Hello,
I've just updated to Railclone 4 and I wanted to use the Cap Holes functionality.
But it doesn't seem to work on the tiles of my roof.
I have a rather simple Railclone to create a roof.
The tiles are sliced by the spline on the edges and I want to cap the holes created by this slice.
Is the Cap holes supposed to work in this situation ?
I've attached my scene to this topic.
Have a good day,
Karen

Hi Karen,
As I can see, used Segments have several overlapping vertices (please see attached screen-shot and the modified scene) - welding these seems to fix it. I hope that helps.

Oh great !
I imagine that the more complex the geometry is, harder it is for Railclone to cap the holes.
I deleted some edgeloops on my tiles but there are still some holes.
Is there a way to cap everything ?
PS : it seems that modifying the Rotation in the Transform Node creates these holes that can't be capped.

Any help here would be appreciated, thanks !

Hi,
We’ve been doing some additional testing with the Cap Holes feature these days and it doesn’t seem to be linked to the changes applied in the Transform Operator (or any other). It'll need to be investigated more in deep by our main developers to see if there‘ll be a way how to improve it for future releases. Thanks for your comprehension.
Best regards,

Hello,
Don't worry, I found a solution to this problem by using the Cap feature in the Edit Poly.
It must be quite a hard feature to implement, especially to make it work in every scenario.
Good luck with your investigation !
