Title: Chain link fence with diagonal Brace
Post by: WAQAS on September 26, 2025, 03:48:50 am
Any ideas how to create a diagonal brace that is constrained between the corner post and the last/next evenly placed post?

Hi,

Please find attached a sample scene demonstrating a possible style setup. It uses the XSectionLength and XSectionNextLength attributes to calculate the size of the diagonal segments placed at the corners. I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Hi Michal
That was of great help and works perfectly on a straight surface.
I unfortunately have to apply it over some rather uneven terrain which makes the whole thing come apart.
Any ideas?

Turning on Deform > Vertical mode and leaving Slope Fixing off should do the trick.

Best regards,

Unfortunately that did not fix it completely

In that case, please feel free to send us (https://forum.itoosoft.com/faq/how-to-send-a-file-to-itoo-software/) your scene and we’ll take a look at it here. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

I have sent the scene via email.
It would also be great if it were possible to have straight/linear segments of the fence mesh between the evenly spaced posts
