Changing Evenly distance by Spline parameters
« on: August 30, 2019, 07:12:48 AM »
Hi all,

Been using railclone for 2 years and for the first time I have a problem I can't get my head around.

I need the window mullions in my railclone to appear at different frequencies depending on whether they're being generated on a straight line or a curve; curves need more segments as the glass can't be bent to conform to the curve.

Is there any way to change Evenly distance depending on Spline parameters like line/curve type, vertex type or MatID?

For my array I've tried using all of the above in an Arithmetic plugged into the generator's X Evenly Distance param, but none seem to work.

  Screenies attached.

Hi!
Evenly is special distance. It is calculated once and applied throughout the spline at regular intervals.
Default input is more flexible:

Thanks Rokas, it's very helpful to understand the true behaviour of Evenly.

I'll report back my progress.
