Hi There,
I was wondering if there was a way to get around an issue I'm having with the cladding macro...
I use the macro for large runs of townhouses and streetscapes etc, so the spline can get quite complicated, often times I will have to go in and assign individual spline ids to each spline such that the macro fills out the spline correctly, as the hierachy modes 1 and 3 don't usually give the correct results.
Often in these types of images there will be multiple cladding colours and I was hoping that there would be a simple was that I could use a multisub material and assign them to specific sections of the spline... I had done this previously with the Spline ID but sometimes it conflicts with heirachy and then i have to keep trying different values on the spine Id until it a. fills the spline out correctly and b. assigns the correct material...
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Luke.

Hi Luke,
If you prefer to keep everything under a single RC object, you can keep the Material ID just to assist with the ‘Extend X/Y Size to Area’ algorithm. For material management, apart from using different vertex types, you might also find it useful to work with Markers (https://docs.itoosoft.com/railclone/rc-spline-modifier#markers), which allow you to control multiple properties through the User Data.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
