RC as hypotenuse segment
« on: July 19, 2022, 01:46:21 PM »
Hi,
Is it possible to use A1S as hypotenuse segment, or its RC limitation?

It works perfect with regular segments but i would like to avoid messing with Composites

Best
Michal

Hi!

Thanks for the question. It's possible, you just need to tell RailClone which generator in the chain you wish to use for the X Spline Length. You do it like this, using the name of the generator:

I hope that helps,

So simple! Easier way is always hard to find
Thank you very much:)

Something harder here:)
I put it into markers and have no idea from where is gap

Please find attached a revised version. I've just tweaked the trig expressions and few other things a little bit.

Hope it helps.

I didnt notice it before sorry for that.
What if spline isnt flat?

I have to make a lot of trusses so it seems to be importnant as well.
Only solutution which I can find is make A1S segment verical vithout slope fixing

Cheers

Is that solution working well enough? It might be possible to find the angle of the spline, but it could get quite complicated!

I will see on complex object. It might be ok. If you say its complicated i dont even think about it.
Many thanks its much more better than compose mode ( less distortion in vertical mode

Many thanks
