Title: Clipping objects/splines?

Hey guys,

I've just been working on a building with a fairly huge amount of vertical cladding that alternates between different colours AND sizes at random - I would have used Railclone for this, but there is no way of "clipping" middle sections and bottom sections of cladding out to make room for windows and doors, etc. It would be great if you could add an "obstacle" object, or spline that chops (booleans?) out the relevant cladding panels to allow for openings. Especially if you could also add "rules" for what to do at the top and bottom of the opening i.e.. add a sill to the bottom and a flashing to the top, etc.

Whilst this is almost certainly very complicated to implement, I'm sure it would make the product an absolute must have for ANY architectural firm. It would've saved me (and the Revit guy) hours and simplified what turned out to be a very arduous process.

Yes, that would be a nice feature. Although it's possible to clip the geometry using a spline (Generator->Clipping Area), it works only in one plane by RC object, and is not parametric.

As you pointed, in this case should be necessary to use booleans. Currently this is a problem because the Max boolean function doesn't work well (we use it for the clipping areas), so we should find an boolean alternative before. If possible, we'll work on this issue for next updates.

I'm afraid this feature is not feasible by now. It involves several technical challenges that are not easy to solve.
