CLIPPING with 2 Splines
« on: September 25, 2016, 08:23:08 PM »
Hi,

I'm trying to make a wall with holes for the windows and a shape for the roof in one RC. See image below.
The default segment is a A2S.
From iToo doc>"Rule 4 - Clipping splines cannot be used simultaneously as include and exclude areas in the same style. To do this you need to add two different Spline nodes and pick the same spline twice. "  ??
Any idea please?
Merci merci!

Sounds working with a A2S. But with simple spline shape..

Hi,

I would suggest you to connect these Clipping Splines (might be, them attaching them together would simplify the overall set-up) directly to the Array 2S generators, as I'm not sure if there's any advantage of "nesting" your style, under additional Linear 1S generators. Please feel free to send us your scene to check it here. Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

Hi,

ok thanks, I ll send you a clean scene ASAP. max2016 ok ?
I ve made some other test with a A2S  with the option Extend X/Y Size to Area on. It seems to work but not for all the 4 faces of the building... :o

Hi,

Sure, thanks in advance. Also I would suggest you to double check Clipping Area's Projection axis (should correspond with intended orientation).

Best regards,

youhou!
Finally done! not so hard.. just finding the right process. The harder on RC..  ;)
-redrawn all properly.  Splines import from acad by color.
-adjusting all geometries
-X spline by ID
Thanks for the support Michal
Regards
Next step..parametric windows :-\
and archi changes..  ;D
