[Solved] Evenly & Markers
« on: July 03, 2020, 04:49:29 PM »
Hi !

I am trying to make a procedural house using 4 partitions and 1 corner using specific measurements.
My spline measures 700x700 cm.

I have plugged the blank partition in the Evenly node and the corner in the Corner node.
Then I plugged the other partitions in the Marker node.

As I was creating the markers on the spline, I realized that the blank partitions are not well distributed on the right side of the rectangle.
It seems to happen only when I want a marker to be in the middle of the segment.
What am doing wrong ?

I have attached my file to this message !

Thanks for your time,
Karen

Hi Karen,

Please take a look at the attached for a possible solution. Internally markers divide the spline, as do Evenly segments, so you can get issues when they are coincident.

In this file I've added 50cm to the Right padding of corners to avoid the wall sections overlapping after a corner. I've changed the Evenly segment to Default, and finally I changed the Default mode to Adaptive.

I hope that helps,

Paul

Hey !

I did try to change to Default mode but I was lacking the 50cm padding trick.
The walls were overlapping but I didn't know how to solve it.

Your solution is perfect, thank you !

Have a good day :)
