Linking 2 Railclones together
« on: November 04, 2016, 04:54:04 PM »
Relativity new RC user.

I created this telescoping Jetbridge for quickly placing and adjusting many of them into airports scenes. I've got almost all of it figured out except the steps shown in my screen grab.

The height of the Jetbridge is adjustable. I need to make those steps into RC steps so that the height is adjustable to match the height of the bridge. I have the RC steps created in a separate Railclone but can't figure out how to make it link them to make them move with the bridge.

Is there a way to do that?

Hi,

I would suggest you to use the workaround advised in the "Nested RailClone Variables" related post (to use the 3ds max's Wire parameters tool).

I think you'll have to use wired parameters like this example where I am trying to do something similar.
