corner align to path
« on: November 05, 2019, 03:10:08 PM »
hello.  in the online user guide it says:

To align a corner segment to the path

    Open the Style Editor
Select the L1S Generator you wish to apply this rule to.
Go to Properties>Rules>Corner and turn on Align to Path.
Alternatively, turn this property off to align the corner with the preceding segment.

And shows a picture of a brick wall with a corner pillar that's rotated 45 degrees and one that is not rotated.

I have tried this option checked and un-checked but i get the same result, the corner pillar is sliced at an angle.  See attached screen shot.  ps - i'm brand-new to railclone.

thanks,

Paul Roberts

Hi,

Thanks for getting in touch. To make this work you will also need to disable the bend option for the corner segment, otherwise RailClone will still try to deform the geometry to follow the path. You'll find this setting in the Segment's Deform tab as shown below.

I hope that helps, please let me know if you have any further questions.

All the best,

Paul
