Gutter corners
« on: January 25, 2018, 01:31:24 PM »
Hello!

I'm trying to build a system for building guttering.

I have the basics done, brackets, end stops, down pipes, etc, but I'm stuck on how to do the corners and angles.

I want to copy the style of the T piece, where the vertical and horizontal meet (a slight lip on the ends). If I create a 90 degree piece, I can get this to fit either the convex or concave coners, but not both.

I've tried creating a straight piece, and using the slice / bend options, but neither seem to be right, perhaps I'm doing something wrong?

I'm guessing I need to use a straight piece, and then use Railclone to slice it to fit, as this would also work for the vertical pipes, where the angle isn't 90 degrees.

Is there a tutorial or something on this?

Thanks,
Dean

OK seems I have other issues too.

For the vertical elements, when these are rotated, they no longer behave as I'd like. For example if I rotate the spline 90 degrees, the segments are still aligned as if they weren't rotated, but offset, which again isn't quite right.

Any ideas or tips?

Thanks,
Dean

Hi Dean,

We have some gutter styles in the library. A good place to start might to open one up and take a look at how they are built.

Cheers,
