CRASH - tutorial files: Populating Building Interiors with Forest Pack

I'm trying to rebuild the  fp_populate_buildings_end_mray.max  file to work in Arnold  and max 2022

Even stripping out most of the scene (deleteing objects / merging in object to a clean start file ) . It crashes every time I try to render with arnold.

is it possible for itoo to rebuild these tutorials for Arnold .... mental ray is very very dead now in max

looks like the 'Use Instancing Engine' option causes issues

Hi Ken,

Thanks for getting in touch. Are you using Arnold 7 by any chance? This version is only supported by the current RailClone 5 beta, using older versions of RailClone with the new Arnold release can cause issues like you describe.

yes I'm using arnold 7

That'll be it then. Arnold 7 was released relatively recently, so it's currently only supported by RailClone 5. If you have an active maintenance plan the RailCLone 5 beta is available from your user panel.
