Title: curtainwall sploe
Post by: TL1895 on July 07, 2015, 07:08:44 PM
Hi itoo!

I have a simple question today.
I want to use the curtainwall from the glass spider tutorial (modified a little.)
I have it right, but a couple of them will need to be at a 1.8  slope.
So, I did that, and the slope looks correct, but it is stepping (see pic.)
How to remove the stepping, please?  Or, is it just easier to use FFDbox?

Thanks!  TL1895

Hi!

How are you creating the slope? If you are using two splines then you should be able to change the Y Spline to create the angle you need. Alternatively it's possible to use the Generator's X Rotate property, but don't use the Slope parameter for this as it will create the stepping issue seen in your images. If you have further issues and you're able to upload the RC style I'd be more than happy to take a look at it.

Many thanks,

Paul

Hi Paul,

Thank for the reply.  I ended up using FFDbox, and it was quite easy/simple.
Next time, I'll try it using the x rotate...and I had tried the "slope" parameter in my image above...

Thanks a lot!
