Curved angle
« on: January 12, 2026, 04:15:03 pm »
Hello,

How can get curved angle or sharp angle when using curtain wall? Please note that geometry doesn't follow the path. How can I adjust the height of the curtain wall?
However this object doesn't render correctly, can you tell me why? I am using rail clone pro 7.1.5 and vray 6
Curtain wall curved 1 and 2 looks the same, where is the difference?

Thanks,
Dusan

Here...
Just change the Cuve Segment to line or Curve, and it should work fine.

I introduced two new parameters for the segment's X size and for the Curve Steps

Hi Dusan,

First, let me mention that, as you’ve pointed out, Curtain Wall Curved 1 and Curtain Wall Curved 2 Sun Shade are based on the same style setup - the other style simply shows the sun shade version of this preset.

To get a sharp corner, you should connect the Selector operator (the one feeding the Default input) to the Corner input and enable the Bevel Corner option once the Bevel Mode is switched from None to any other mode. To create a curved corner, simply adjust the Corner > Filler Radius value as needed.

The height can’t currently be set parametrically in the bundled style, but you can extract the involved segments (Style Editor > Segments > Extract / Extract All) and adjust them as needed.

Regarding the material, as mentioned in this closely related post: “… while the Material IDs for the segments used in the Sun Shade version correspond correctly to the assigned material, this isn’t the case for the No Sun Shade option. I’ve adjusted them accordingly - the changes will be reviewed by our team, and the updated styles will be published soon.”

I hope this helps.

Best regards,
