Title: Curved Spanish Tile Roofs

I'm trying to create a curved spanish tile roof, but I'm getting stuck on how best to deal with the tiles that are at the farthest point from the generator spline. Turning off bend seems to make them look better, but gaps appear. Turing on bend creates distortion in the tiles. Any ideas?

I have attached the max file I am working on as well as a few screencaps of the issues. If you edit it, can you please save it as a Max 2018 version? Thanks.

Hi

To get better smoothing when using Segment Bending- try to increase Spline subdivisions- I have adjusted Normalize Spline Modifier with these values and it looks much better:
