Hi
Thanks for this question.
I would suggest using nested style workflow. First do a one column of cladding (2) from simple piece of geometry (1).
Then use this created segment(2) in Master RailClone style (3).
As it will be higher than needed use clipping spline(4) to cut the roof to Your desired shape.

Attached file for closer investigation.
Hope this helps.

Hi
You can easily fix current setup:

I hope this solves the issue.

thanks Rokas
so simple :)
-
wow I was trying to make the same exact brick layout for some time now!
Can you please post more settings, is the segment the same (Box001), then why is it sequenced?
-
i wonder what would be a good approach to texture the first cladding with some variation in this thread
i tried but without easy success because the parts are getting scaled in the first Railclone and that is getting scaled in the second Railclone
so i guess you have build the parts for the first railclone and so on ???

OK i got it
i inserted a material node and activated the Mapping in both railclones ... that did the trick
OMG :)
-
Great if that works for You.
I have modified style(all parameters are now in First RC object) to have more flexibility as well as different UV mapping approach:

thanks rokas
nice if we can have it all in the first railclone :)
would be great if we could also get a additional slight variation in z in the first railclone
anyway i learn a lot
-
so yes all of the mentioned parameters are in first RailClone.
-
my mistake 8)
i remembered the first Railclone to have additionally difference in hight (different thickness of each board) but that was not the case ... makes no sense anyway
so everything is perfect
thanks
