RC5Editor node name problem
« on: February 16, 2022, 08:56:36 AM »
A friend of mine has a problem with node naming when using RC5, I don't know how he did it, there seems to be a strange space character in the naming, which causes a style error message, and if the file is saved and reopened, the parsing will appear Error, if the strange space character is deleted and a new space character is typed, this error will not occur. Of course I haven't encountered such problems, I'm just helping feedback.

Thanks for reporting this and the files. Probably that's because of a character that's causing problems with XML parsing. In the latest releases, we have added Unicode support to everything (i.e. to accept Chinese characters), but there could still be problems with some characters.

Best,
Paul

HI,

We'll investigate your file and see what can be done. Technically it shouldn't happen anymore.

Best,
Paul.

Did you find anything? I use RC5.2.0b to open the RC editor in the above file and still the same happens.

Hi,

It would seem to be an issue with this particular file that was created before we added unicode support. Theoretically it shouldn't happen with any new files. If you need help recovering this particular file, please let us know and we may be able to be able to help.
