Door parametric size
« on: June 10, 2018, 10:39:01 PM »
Hey guys!!
i have a lot of projects where i have to adjust door/fix panel size..in this case i would like to be able to adjust handle size as well..so i can use my model as window and door!

I started with:
LT corner: 1  RT corner: 15
LD corner:7  RD corner: 21
TOP: 8  BOTTOM: 14

now... how can I manage parts 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 on the LEFT side; 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 on the right side; 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 as default; and to be able to change door and handle hight.

1. example: I have opening height of 250cm..door hight will be 200cm and rest fix window, and i will set handle hight at 100cm
2. example: I have window opening hight of 150cm..window will take 100cm, rest is fix and handle on 50cm.

Thanks for your help!!

Hi,

great question.
You should consider my colored segment groups as one segment and plug them to Bottom Corner, Bottom and another Bottom Corner. You can use compose operator to combine them (with exported parameter for 6 13 and 20 for adjustable height )

P.S. Slice segments so their size in X and Z size are round values like 10.0 or 15.0 cm it will be a lot easier later.

If You have any problems, please share Your progress and I will try to help as much as I can.

I have played with some padding/transform values.
It is easy to work with segments when they are 15.00 cm in size:
