Title: Facade curtain wall solution for corners
Post by: SJB on October 26, 2020, 12:27:40 AM
Hi there. Just wondering if there is a solution for a facade that works with any type of corner? I still can not get a solution that works all of the time for any degree of corner. I would love to see a tutorial about this in regards to buildings.
Thanks

Hi. Would You illustrate the issue with max file or drawing a sketch?

Hey. Here's my railclone scene of a finished project. In the end, I found a scene from this forum which seemed to find a semi solution to hack the corners to get it to work, but maybe there's a simpler way. I do not even understand the coding in this scene to get the corners to sort of work.

I guess I want to learn better ways of making modular railclone pieces for future jobs and do it in simpler ways. I guess I like to make an apartment component piece, and not to make it in individual pieces like glass, mullion etc.

Looking at the railclone bits, there are some issues at the corners. These problems were far away from the camera that I got away with it. There are overlapping areas for example. This scene works ok, but if the walls were not so 90 degree like, then I am sure there would be more problems.

I feel we need a tutorial which covers this sort of thing.

Maybe there is a much simpler way of doing this.

Any help would be great.

Thanks
Andrew

Thanks for this example. Seems alot simpler, and I like how you can choose which component goes on which spline. It also looks like it works great on lots of different corners.
