Missing Railclone object in animations frames
« on: December 02, 2015, 06:07:29 PM »
So this is the issue, we have an animation where random frames render without the railclone object.
So a renderslave might render a frame with the railclone object as expected, and the next frame it renders,
the RC object is gone ....

any 1st instinct as to what might cause this issue ?

we're using Railclone 2.4.7, Vray 3.20.03 and use RenderPal to manage our jobs on the renderfarm.
(so we're rendering through 3dsmaxcmd.exe)

Hi,

As a first step I would suggest you to double check that you did install on all your render nodes the same release of RailClone.

Is that behaviour specific just for some of your render node(s) or it's random?

Let me mention, that it could be a licensing issue as this kind of problems may occur with use of non-legitimate licences. Though it might be later edited with a valid license, involving the non-legitimate licence cause object damage and future troubles.

Would you please send us the simplified scene (containing problematic RC object(s)) through WeTransfer to support@itoosoft.com to analyse it here? Thanks in advance.

Best regards,

I sent a file to support@itoosoft.com

I hope we can solve this.

All renderSlaves have the same version (though this can't be an issue as 1 slave renders the object 1 frame then not the next frame.
The behaviour is pretty random (although it looks like rendering the animation on any single slave doesn't show this issue)
It can't be a non-legitimate license issue, since we have 7 RC licenses (and unlimited renderlicenses Right ?)
it was build in house, so no downloaded railclone that 'might' have been build without a license.
