This is a really wild "stab in the dark" feature request, as I am sure there are probably a myriad reasons that it can't be done but I thought I should at least ask anyway...
Think of a normal railclone scenario, such as creating a road - railclone is great for this except when it comes to junctions. These have to be manually modelled. Would it be possible to have a "junction" option whereby railclone would either select from a pre-made set of junctions, or alter the geometry "on the fly" when two splines came within x distance of eachother? It would be amazing to be able to create a road network just by drawing a spline.
Just an idea.

Yes, this feature is in the wishlist since a long time ago.
Unfortunately it involves several technical challenges, futhermore that RailClone is a generic tool, so we cannot assume certain shortcuts that would be used in a specialized road making tool.
Sincerely i would like to dedicate some time to this problem, but i'm afraid at this moment there are too many features in the to-do list, and not all of them can be implemented.

That's totally understandable. Thanks for the swift reply.

is there any development about junctions or any other alternate solution for intersection modelling yet?
-
No, sorry. This feature is not in our plans in the short term.

Hi,
can we consider 15 days a long term since 05 Feb :) as junction is not in your short term plans maybe we can consider now it has already been a long term? :) I am following the junction wish for RC since 2010. I feel like it is really a hard issue but I would vote +1 for priority.
